Abstract
In hopes of finding a new way to improve reading abilities or experience, we researched, from a gestalt-design point of view, the effects of bicoloured text; texts where some words are coloured grey instead of black, so to separate them and make for easier interpretation. Our findings show indications that marking function words, sans auxiliary verbs, grey in Dutch could lead to a better understanding of texts.
