VRmanus: Interaction with 3D Models
The use of three dimensional models is found in a range of disciplines . Manipulating these models is done mostly with a standard mouse, or in some cases a specialized piece of hardware. However, the users still need to grip a physical device. So the question that arose: Is a no-obstructive input device able to improve the effectiveness of the interaction with 3D models? In a way, VRManus was conceived as the answer to this question. VRmanus is a system for interaction with 3D models using the whole hand. To test VRmanus, test persons were asked to perform a task with a regular mouse and VRmanus and vice versa.
