Abstract

In this paper we look at the current state of generative architecture and industrial design. We noticed that most projects remain only as a virtual model. While some attempts have been made to make the virtual models physical, using various methods of rapid prototyping, the physical world does not provide feedback within the design process. We believe that feedback from the physical world is an important part in the design process and that this process is non-linear. This paper suggests continuous physical prototyping as a generative design system where feedback from the physical world is included and where the process is non-linear.
