Edwin van der Heide
Edwin van der Heide is employed for two days a week as a member of the scientific staff concerned with the Media Technology programme and research group. Edwin studied Sonology at the Royal Conservatory, where he graduated in 1992. He works as media artist, composer and researcher in the field of sound, space and interaction, where his work focuses on sound installations, interactive installations and participative environments. Projects of his are often part of international festivals and conferences. Furthermore he has realized several permanent installations in public space. Since 1995 Edwin is a teacher at the interfaculty Image and Sound / ArtScience of the Royal Conservatory and the Royal Arts Academy in The Hague. He has been lecturing in the Media Technology programme since 2002, and is a member of the Media Technology Programme Board.
