“A Course on Creative Thinking”, by Prof. Mel Rosenberg

On Thursday, September 18, professor Mel Rosenberg of Tel Aviv University (Israel) will present a lecture entitled “A Course on Creative Thinking”. All are invited to attend, and to join the discussion and drinks afterwards.

Mel Rosenberg on Japanese televisionMel Rosenberg is Professor of Microbiology at the Department of Human Microbiology, Tel Aviv University, Israel. He is also an inventor, with several well-selling products to his credit in the field of personal hygiene. Moreover, he plays the saxophone with his jazz quartet and writes children’s books (see melrosenberg.com for additional info).

Recently Mel, together with a colleague, developed a course on creative thinking, which he successfully has given in Tel Aviv and in Toronto, Canada. The course is multidisciplinary and not specifically devoted to scientific work. Mel will tell us about this course and is open for all possible suggestions and inspiration. Conversely, Mel may inspire us to take a fresh look to our teaching programmes.

This lecture is open to everyone and free to attend. There is room for discussion and drinks after the presentation. Please register your attendance by sending an e-mail to schippers@liacs.nl.
