Dear students,

Just as a quick reminder, tomorrow afternoon we are going to work with OpenFrameworks and this requires you to download an IDE (a programming envt) and OpenFrameworks itself and go through some install steps. Given that these downloads are large and install take some, do this before tomorrow.

See
http://openframeworks.cc/download/
https://sites.google.com/site/newmedianewtechnology2018/resources/working-with-openframeworks

Also if you experience any issues with logging into Google sites / editing drop me an email, see also
https://sites.google.com/site/newmedianewtechnology2018/resources/working-with-google-sites

Contact me if there are any other isses

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Peter

Dear students,

As mentioned in class coming Friday April 20 I will host an extra OpenFrameworks walk in hour, or actually two hours, from 11-1300, in 413. In principle this is targeted at those who want to get a bit more familiar with OpenFrameworks and the underlying C++ language.

The format in principle is self study with the opportunity to ask questions, either using some of the self study examples hosted here on the course website
https://sites.google.com/site/newmedianewtechnology2018/nmnt-class/workshop-2/1-of-hello-world

or other online examples (OpenFrameworks website etc) or learning projects you have started with.

Also do not forget to finish your portfolio, each project needs to be listed once on the website, naming all project team members; the other project team members should still have a placeholder entry under their portfolio but link there to the project description. See https://sites.google.com/site/newmedianewtechnology2018/nmnt-class/workshop-1/assignment-1
